Request a vote-by-mail ballot for the 2020 primary election before the deadline, October 23 at 5:00PM
Voting by mail is a fundamental part of our democratic process. Voting by mail allows citizens who are unable to vote in person to participate in important civic and national initiatives. Voting by mail is essential to ensure the safety of every American during the coronavirus pandemic while protecting their Constitutional right to vote.

If you miss the deadline, you can also pick up your vote-by-mail ballot at one of the Supervisor of Election offices. You should call 727-464-8683 in advance to request the ballot if you need to do this.

Completing Your Vote-by-Mail Ballot
Voting by mail reflects the in-person process, but provides flexibility for you to vote from the comfort of your home. To ensure your VBM ballot is counted follow the steps below.
Use a pen with black ink only.
Fill in the oval next to your elected candidate’s name, circles around or underlining of the candidate names may not count as a vote for that candidate.
Place your ballot inside the secrecy sleeve, then place both the ballot and secrecy sleeve inside the return envelope.
The most important thing to remember when voting by mail is to SIGN YOUR NAME on the back of the envelope. If your signature is missing from your VBM ballot it will not be counted for the election. Be sure to include the date of completion of the ballot next to the signature line. Although it is not required, it is encouraged to include your phone number and email address on the outside of the return envelope in case the Supervisor of Elections office needs to contact you regarding your ballot.
Returning Your Vote-by-Mail Ballot
It is encouraged for voters to return their VBM ballots at least one week prior to the election date to provide adequate time for the ballot to be received by the Supervisor of Elections. You can return your VBM ballot by simply placing it in the mail. You do not need to include any stamps as the postage has been prepaid.
You can also return your VBM ballot at specific ballot drop-off locations one day prior to Election Day. If you are unable to return your ballot you can ask someone else to drop it off for you at a specific ballot drop-off location.
