How to Cure Your Rejected Ballot
The later you return your ballot, the less time you will have to cure any signature deficiencies, which is why it is recommended to return your vote-by-mail ballot early.
If your vote-by-mail ballot is rejected for a missing or mismatched signature, the Supervisor of Elections office must give you the chance to remedy or “cure” the problem. vote-by-mail ballots can only be rejected for signature mismatch if the vote-by-mail signature does not match the signature of record for the voter beyond a reasonable doubt.
If the vote-by-mail ballot is rejected, the Supervisor of Elections office must notify the voter of the rejected ballot as soon as possible by email, text message or telephone. You can also be notified of ballot rejections by first-class mail from the Supervisor of Elections office.
If your vote-by-mail ballot is rejected due to a signature mismatch, you have the right to update your signature. To do this, first download the Vote by Mail Cure Affidavit here:

Your vote-by-mail cure affidavit must be received by the Supervisor of Elections office no later than 5:00PM on the second day after the election in order to be tabulated in the current election. Be sure to read all of the instructions and return your affidavit as soon as possible.
